I'm still working on it

Hi folks,

I am still intending to write my tea room/coffee shop reviews, I just haven't had the time. I've been out scuba diving all weekend, I've been out training and have completed my PADI Advanced Open Water dives this week, I went to two dive sites.

Eccleston Delph on Saturday. I have dived a number of times at EccyD, and despite the bad visibility at the site I really enjoy diving there and will be visiting there again soon. I completed my PADI Open Water Dives there, I also did my drysuit specialty there too. On Saturday we did navigation and photography, I went home at this point as I'm counting my drysuit specialty as part of my Advanced, Chris (the other student) did PPB.

Stoney Cove Sunday. I'd not been to Stoney Cove until this weekend, it is a giant site. We did Deep dive first and I went to 29.6m! It was damn cold down there. The final adventure dive was wreck diving! We went to explore the largest inland wreck the Stanegarth! This former tug was originally built in 1910 and now sits in 22m of water. A great wreck to visit if you can. The visibility is slightly better than Eccleston Delph but can silt up quickly.

That was my weekend, busy!

I've not forgotten I promised a letter about a coffee shop.

Hi folks,

I haven't forgotten I said I would write an article about a local tea room/coffee shop soon, I have indeed started it but I've forgotten about what I liked/disliked as I've been to other coffee shops since and managed to confuse the places I've been to.

I've got a few days of work to do so I won't have chance to revisit until either Sunday (if they're open) or Friday next week.

Until then let me tell you about a wonderful little thing I've bought for my ipad. As you may know this year I've started a number of new hobbies, scuba diving and photography being the main two. I've got a lovely camera which I love using, however sometimes I'd like to upload photographs from my camera or SD card to my ipad. Here is the answer, a camera connection thingy (see the crappy photograph below taken using my ipad just now) Brilliant! Okay, I've only used it once for a test but it worked beautifully. I am using my ipad more and more these days, it is easier than getting my MacBook out to transfer photographs off my camera and onto iCloud and the Internet.
Anyway, see you around.

Focus? What is that?

I wrote a new blog entry, whilst sitting in a local tea room, which discussed matters of lacking focus and procrastination, both of which are running themes of my blog posts. I often neglect this blog and fail to keep it up to date. Not because I have nothing to write, I've written countless articles for this which never made it on here. I think it is because this blog lacks focus.

I have friends who discuss certain topics in the blogs they write, like films, music, nature or other specific topics. In my blog I've tried to avoid covering the same topic too much or too often, ergo I've never focused on any particular area. But I realise that isn't really a problem, that is why I enjoy writing it so much because it is so eclectic in its nature.

With that in mind, this week I resolved to try to write a series of articles reviewing local coffee shops and tea rooms. I don't want this to become a coffee shop/tea room blog so I'll try to keep it a little more random than that. I'll try to review a coffee shop or tea room and whilst I'm enjoying said refreshment establishments I'll endeavour to write something unrelated.

Let us see how this pans out and I hope you enjoy my words.

New blogs coming soon.
